You have probably realized by now that I’m not a big fan of traditional marketing avenues.

I’ve lost a lot of money pursuing them, dropping thousands on trade show booths, magazine advertisements, direct mail, and countless others, and having nothing to show for it.

Now I almost exclusively use inexpensive Internet Marketing strategies to attract clients and make sales, and I can tell you that it works much better.

But who am I anyways?

You don’t have to take my word for it, here’s what some of the most respected people on the web are saying…

Rand Fishkin, SEO guru, and creator of SEOmoz:

“The trend is quite clear – this new bundle of marketing channels that consumers pursue themselves (social media, blogs, SEO, email marketing, etc.) is the future. Traditional marketing tactics may not die, but they’re not going to be where businesses invest nor where ROI is going to see dramatic rises. We’re living at the beginning of the new era (and if you’ve been reading SEOmoz, you’re likely part of the revolution).” (Check out the full “inbound marketing” post, it has a cool chart and everything.)

Seth Godin, Marketing Genius (if you don’t read his blog, stop reading this and go there now)

“The Internet is going to change marketing before it changes almost anything else, and old marketing will die in its path.” – From his book Permission Marketing.

Obviously there’s lots more, but I really want you to check out what these two guys have to say, so I’ll stop there.

Have a great weekend!
